Mr Michael Buss will be sworn in as a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia at Government House tomorrow, Tuesday, 31 January, 2006 at 4.30pm, followed by a welcoming ceremony at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, 1 February, at 9.30am.
His Excellency Dr Ken Michael, Governor of Western Australia, will perform the swearing-in ceremony in the Government House Dining Room.
Only one camera will be permitted at Government House to film the proceedings. Television stations are asked to make their own pooling arrangements. Sound can be used, but no lighting will be permitted. Interested media representatives should report to the security post within Government House grounds by 4.15pm.
A special sitting of the Full Bench of the Supreme Court will be held in Court 1 to formally welcome Mr Buss to the bench.

Sound can be used, but no lighting will be permitted. Cameras should set up by 9.15 am. Pooling arrangements are not required for press photographers.
