The Mickelberg appeal starts next Monday, 1 December, not before 11.15am in Court 1 at the Supreme Court, Stirling Gardens. It has been set down for ten days.
The Court has agreed to allow limited filming inside the courtroom, essentially the initial 'calling on' of the matter. The 'calling on' is brief -- from when the three judges enter the court, the presiding judge's associate announces the appeal, and counsel announce their appearances. It has also been agreed to allow limited filming of counsel at the bar table before the Court commences.
TV -- Channel Seven has agreed to provide the pooled vision for television. Only one television camera will be allowed inside the courtroom.
Press photographers -- This coverage does not have to be pooled, but please contact me before Monday if you intend to send a photographer.
