The Full Court of the Supreme Court of Western Australia will hold a special sitting this Friday, 1 March, to formally farewell the Hon. Justice David Ipp who has retired after more than 12 years on the bench.
Justice Ipp was appointed to the Supreme Court in July 1989. He was appointed as an acting judge of the New South Wales Court of Appeal in January 2001.
Court proceedings to farewell Justice Ipp will start at 9.30am in Courtroom 1 at the Supreme Court building, Stirling Gardens.
Cameras will be permitted in the Court to film the proceedings but should be set up by 9.15am. Sound can be used, but no lighting is permitted. Please note that television cameras cannot be moved once proceedings begin.
