The Supreme Court is the State's highest court, with responsibility for both criminal and civil matters.

It deals with very serious criminal charges, such as murder, armed robbery and serious breaches of Commonwealth drug enforcement laws.

Generally, it hears civil cases where the amount involved in the dispute is more than $750,000.

The Supreme Court is based in two separate buildings – Stirling Gardens, Perth (cnr Barrack Street and St Georges Tce) and Levels 13, 14 & 15, 111 St Georges Terrace, Perth (cnr William St). The Stirling Gardens site is the location for:

The 111 St Georges Terrace building is the location for:

  • Civil matters
  • Probate
  • Mediations
